The 2015 Mr Gay World competition is fast approaching and we’ll be putting a spotlight on each of the delegates in the lead up to the event.
Today is all about Australian delegate Scott Fletcher.
Check out 7 sexy things about Scott as seen in DNA #183.
He’s 27 and a software brainiac!
I started my career in software development and eventually found a passion for computer security. I’m currently a Principal Consultant for Aura Information Security, a company that specialises in helping organisations secure their IT systems. We’re often referred to as “ethical” or “white hat” hackers. I wish it was as cool as they made it out to be in the movie Swordfish!
He likes things that go fast and loud!
I’ve always liked the extreme sports. I was a Boy Scout growing up so I spent a lot of time in the outdoors camping, hiking, and also in the water. I’m a keen wakeboarder, water skier, snow skier, and I’m not too bad on a jet ski either. I’m a big fan of motorbikes and ride an Aprilia. I really enjoy travelling, immersing myself in new cultures and making new friends.
He lives in Melbourne and is available!
Yes, I’m single…
He’s going to Africa as Mr Gay Australia!
I’m looking forward to meeting locals and the other delegates, learning about their unique culture and heritage, giving some insight about what it’s like to be gay in Australia, and also getting up and close with the African wildlife.
He’s on a mission to help teens!
I came out at 15, midway through high school and it was extremely tough for me. I’d like to establish a platform to support teenagers that face adversity when coming out. Specifically for those in areas where there may be a lack of easily accessible local support, education or information. To this day I still feel like it would have been invaluable to be able to connect with people who I could relate to, and who had been through similar experiences.
He’s got amazing friends!
I’m forever grateful to the friends who’ve stood by and supported me; there’s no way I’d be where I am without them.
As much as we don’t want to admit it, drug abuse is the biggest challenge facing the gay community. Specifically the number of people using methamphetamines or any substance to the point where it is impeding their ability to live a productive, happy, healthy life.
